Case Study Overview

Staffordshire Mechanical Solutions Ltd were appointed to replace the damaged cooling coil at Moog Aircraft Group. The works involved isolating and draining down the existing pipework feeding the cooling coil.

To allow for the removal of the coil, we were required to remove the casing of the air handling unit.

SMS employed a specialist craneage company to lift the existing, damaged coil from the unit and lower to ground level. The new replacement coil was lifted onto the roof and fitted to the unit utilising the specialist services of the crane and banksman.

The works were completed during normal operational hours.
