Case Study Overview

Following the success of the contacted works at Moog Wolverhampton, SMS where their first choice contractor when Moog Industrial commissioned the construction of a new warehouse, including extensive and innovative Mechanical and Electrical building services instillations.

Mechanical services included new gas fired Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning to the main warehouse areas, VRV heat pump systems to new clean rooms, service room and internal office spaces. Additionally a processed cooled water system fed via an adiabatic dry air cooler were installed. The workshop areas were comfort cooled by an adiabatic cooling installation consisting of Breezair roof mounted evaporative cooling units. With hydraulic, mineral oil and compressed air lines pipe work systems below raised floors serving various test bays and equipment. Local and high temperature extracts systems were also used to ensure space conditions remained stable, comfortable and clean.

Electrically new HV and LV installations, fire alarm, general and emergency lighting and controls, small power, CCTV, access control, voice and data systems were all installed, commissioned, tested and set to work by SMS.
