Case Study Overview

The scheme comprised the refurbishment of the existing part two storey building in Poynton. The refurbishment has formed a new Hickory’s Smokehouse bar and restaurant facility, complete with bar servery, commercial kitchen, glass wash areas, beer cellar, bottle storage, staff accommodation, public toilet facilities, etc.

The external rear area of the building contains the kitchen supply and extract ventilation plant. The existing plant room accommodates the existing boiler and hot water generating plant.

Works included, the isolation and removal of the existing domestic services pipework, ventilation systems, heating boilers and pipework distribution systems.  The installation of a new kitchen supply and extract ventilation ductwork system and the provision of new purpose made supply and extract kitchen canopies and a separate condense canopy.

Externally, to the rear of the building, a new high level support frame was added to mount the new centralised kitchen supply air handing units that serve the kitchen supply ductwork system.
