Case Study Overview

In conjunction with leading German electric vehicle design and development organisation FEV Group, Coventry University wished to extend its hydrogen vehicle battery testing laboratory at C-ALPS.

SMS provided a £1m M&E and specialist services fit out for the new hydrogen battery testing laboratory.

The lab contained high and low pressure hydrogen and inert specialist gases, along with a 200L deionised water system, fume cupboards, LEV extract canopies, ASHP, chiller and climate controlled ventilation system.

SMS delivered this complex project on budget in the midst of material shortages and equipment delays from Europe.
